Help is Not a Bad Thing

Marcus Aurelius wrote, “Don’t be ashamed of needing help. You have a duty to fulfill just like a soldier on the wall of battle. So what if you are injured and can’t climb up without another soldier’s help?”

This morning's workout was struggle, and I needed a lot of support. It didn't help that it was zero dark hundered, 25 degrees outside, and my entire body was already sore from the last session.

All of these excuses didn't change the fact that I needed help! Luckily, my trainer recognized it and not only helped me but also supported me. Let me say this, "ITS OK TO NEED AND RECEIVE HELP!" Here are some benefits:

  • Power in Numbers: In the pursuit of excellence, it's important to recognize that seeking assistance isn't a sign of weakness. Rather, it's a recognition that great things are often achieved through working together.

  • Personal Growth: Asking for help is not just about overcoming an immediate challenge; it's an investment in your own growth. Also, it's an acknowledgment that there's always room to grow.

  • Strength in Vulnerability: True strength lies in vulnerability. By admitting that you don't have all the answers, you create space for meaningful connections and opportunities for others to contribute to your success.

Don't be afraid to ask for help in an area where you might be struggling or seeking improvement. It could be a project, a skill, or even guidance on a decision. Embrace the help and enjoy the growth!
